James is part of Speedinvest's Deep Tech investment team. At Speedinvest, James is on the lookout for scientific breakthroughs with the ability to transform the current technological landscape and address some of the world's most pressing challenges.

James’ background is in Applied Physics and Materials Science. He obtained his PhD from Trinity College Dublin and spent time working in both academia and startups. Prior to joining the Deep Tech team James spent time consulting in Data Science and working at Vectors Capital, a US based Deep Tech and Climate Tech VC fund.

Away from the office you will find James tinkling the ivories or channeling his inner John McEnroe on the tennis court.
