Exploring Florian’s bio, you will find two hearts beating in his chest, one for finance and one for technology. The former was born and raised during his studies at Maastricht University and UC Berkeley, as well as during a short-lived detour in investment banking (meh…).

Luckily, the voice of reason made him return to his (true) passion for technology. This is why he studied Computer Science at University College London where he joined UCL’s research group focused on agent-based models of complex systems of systems. Merging his two hearts, Florian entered venture capital and is now part of Speedinvest’s AI & Infra investment team.

Florian is based in Berlin but you’ll frequently find him in Munich and Vienna – somewhat analogous to his enthusiasm for both classical music and techno.
