Pierre-Francois Marteau

Pierre-Francois can look back at nearly twenty years of experience in digital media, both as an entrepreneur and as executive in a leading publishing group. He spent the last 17 years at Schibsted Media Group, mostly with a focus on digital marketplaces. Among other things, he has been CEO of La Centrale, the leading French motor vertical; board member of leboncoin, the leading French generalist marketplace from 2007 to 2015; and of SnT, a global JV with Telenor operating digital marketplaces in 12 emerging markets.

He played a key role in defining Schibsted’s marketplace strategy, overseeing development in 26 markets worldwide, and pushing the development of mobile products as early as 2011. Pierre-Francois also has first-hand experience in news media, having launched 20 Minutes, the leading daily news publisher in France (11m certified readers) where he served as COO and ultimately as chairman of the board. He has been co-founder of five companies in the media, medical, sports & leisure industries.
