Miriam, an enthusiastic Human Resources Professional with nine years of HR experience in Austria and the US, has helped companies grow at lightning speed. She joined the Venture Capital world to work with talented people who want to disrupt industries, grow big-picture ideas and make an impact. She joined the Speedinvest team with a dual role: as the Human Resources Manager for Speedinvest and a Senior Partner with Speedinvest Heroes, supporting both our own team as well as the Startups we work with.

Miriam obtained two degrees in Psychology, in the UK and Austria, and then entered the world of Human Resources. She worked for the internationally renowned, publicly traded DO & CO Aktiengesellschaft for 9 years. After working in Vienna for 2 years, she was asked to move to New York for a project and immediately fell in love with the city that never sleeps. Miriam initially thought she would be there for a few months but ended up staying 7 years. As DO & CO’s International Human Resources Manager (US) she helped build and expand companies in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Miriam was a crucial contributor to the Austrian company’s growth in the US, from 200 to 1100 employees in only a few years. She was part of the startup team, on the ground from the beginning, repeatedly building something new. Her roll-up-sleeve attitude, empathy and passion for creating HR structures make her a true business partner who can work with cross-functional teams.

After taking some time off to travel the US and Asia, she moved back to Vienna and joined Speedinvest’s team.
