Andreas Carl Weber

Based in the Vienna office, Andreas (nicknamed Carli) is an associate in the industrial tech team. Having a strong passion for science, in particular math and chemistry, he completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree in material science at the University of Leoben, a globally leading research institute. A broad interest in business and economics then led to the decision to complete a second bachelor’s degree in finance at the Vienna University of Economics. Carli graduated summa cum laude at the 98th percentile of his class. He also spent significant time at the University of Southern California, leading to a growth-hacking project at Skurt (a mobility-tech startup, funded by Upfront Ventures and later acquired by Fair); and to an extended research project in industrial machine learning, funded by the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation.

Prior to joining Speedinvest, Carli conducted consulting projects for Voestalpine, in particular in the area of predictive maintenance, technology management and additive manufacturing. He has also worked in the strategic advisory team of a global board member of the Volkswagen Group, concentrating on mobility tech and industry 4.0. Outside of the office, Carli fosters his life-long passion for music (playing drums and percussion). Other hobbies include meeting friends (ideally for coffee or international cuisine), fitness, reading and everything related to nature. He is a regular skier and enjoys travelling to explore new landscapes (and cultures). Carli has lived in multiple countries and speaks Spanish, English and German.
